WIM Florence 2025 revealed trends and insights that are redefining destination weddings in Italy, inspiring our ongoing work at Romantica Italia.

This year’s edition of WIM – We Inspire Memories brought together professionals from across Italy and beyond for three days of reflection, learning and meaningful dialogue. Held in the heart of Florence, the event explored the present and future of the wedding and private event industry through research, international voices and shared experiences.

Romantica Italia was honoured to take part in this gathering, returning with new ideas, strengthened relationships and a deeper sense of direction for the months ahead.

DAY 1 — Opening the Conversation

The first afternoon unfolded inside the historic Teatro Niccolini, where the opening sessions offered a clear and thoughtful reading of the current wedding landscape — one that is gradually shifting from spectacle to substance. Rather than focusing on grandeur or volume, the conversations highlighted a growing desire for authenticity, cultural depth and meaningful experiences.

Insights from the national and international market underlined how couples today are increasingly drawn to intimate destinations, choosing small villages, countryside retreats and lesser-known corners of Italy over iconic cities. This renewed attention toward borghi, heritage sites and rural landscapes reflects a broader movement: the search for a wedding that feels rooted in place, rather than curated for aesthetics alone.

The presentation of the latest WIM research, developed in collaboration with the University of Siena, reinforced this idea. Data showed a rising interest in artisan-made details, bespoke experiences and the emotional value of craftsmanship — qualities that define Italy and that resonate deeply with international couples seeking something personal, intentional and culturally connected.

The exploration of Florence as a destination — from its Grand Tour heritage to its contemporary role — echoed the same direction. Italy is not simply a backdrop for celebrations; it is a living fabric of traditions, artisans and landscapes that invite guests to slow down, engage and feel part of a story.

The day ended with a warm networking cocktail at Palazzo Ximenes Panciatichi, where conversations unfolded naturally. It was a gentle reminder that this industry grows through relationships and shared vision — long before décor or trends take form.

DAY 2 — A Tapestry of Perspectives

The second day broadened the conversation. Editorial voices such as Elle Spose, Sposi Magazine, Weddings & Honeymoons and Arabia Weddings offered a media interpretation of the industry, while The Knot Worldwide shared meaningful insights into how international couples plan, dream and make decisions.

A dedicated focus on digital reputation added depth, exploring how online behaviour shapes trust and visibility in the world of luxury weddings and private events. Later, global flows and emerging markets were analysed, helping reposition Italy within a wider international context and highlighting how the country continues to attract couples seeking authenticity, culture and a sense of place.

Among the day’s contributions, Lucy White of La Lista highlighted how international couples increasingly base their choices on trust — a reminder of how essential credibility and transparent communication have become in destination weddings.

Midday brought a light lunch at Palazzo Gondi, a Renaissance gem with a terrace overlooking Piazza della Signoria. It offered a beautiful setting for informal conversations and meaningful networking — moments that often spark new connections and future collaborations.

The afternoon round tables at the Cattedrale dell’Immagine became one of the most constructive and engaging moments of the event: small circles of discussion where experiences and viewpoints flowed naturally across different professional backgrounds and international contexts.
It was also a valuable opportunity to reflect together on the reputation of our industry — on what still needs to evolve, on the shared responsibility we hold, and on how a stronger, more conscious network can help elevate our field in the years to come.

The evening gala at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, celebrating the 15th anniversary of Elle Spose, became one of the most memorable moments of the event. The villa, with its Renaissance architecture and sweeping hillside views, offered an atmosphere of refined beauty, enhanced by an organisation that felt thoughtful and impeccably coordinated.

The celebration opened with a spectacular display of fireworks, marking the start of the evening with a sense of joy and shared anticipation. As the night unfolded, guests enjoyed live music woven through the dinner, creating an elegant and welcoming ambience. A series of dance performances and artistic moments added depth and emotion to the celebration, enriching the anniversary with creativity and a gentle sense of theatre.

It was a night where beauty, artistry and community came together — a fitting tribute to an important milestone and a reflection of the spirit that animated the entire WIM experience.

DAY 3 — Creativity, Vision and a Fashion-Focused Finale

The final day opened with a return to creativity and personal stories. Marie Tinti began the morning by sharing her journey — a path that started in a small shop in Bologna and grew into thirty boutiques, turning a simple idea about making flowers accessible to everyone into a true success.

Shortly after, Elisa Mocci delivered one of the most heartfelt and resonant contributions of the entire event. Her reflection invited attendees to embrace creativity with courage, to trust their own voice, and to “dream seriously” — a message that felt especially meaningful in a field where emotion, intuition and vision guide so much of the work.

The unveiling of WIM For PRO, the new digital platform designed for professionals in the private events sector, marked an important step toward shared knowledge and smoother collaboration. A preview of the WIM 2026 calendar, presented by Tommaso Corsini and Giulia Bandini, offered a look at the research, themes and international routes that will shape the next edition. The day concluded with the Closing Ceremony at Palazzo Pucci, curated by Sposi Magazine. The historic rooms of the palazzo became the setting for a bridal fashion show featuring emerging designers, a celebration of new talent and artistic identity.
It was a refined and symbolic finale — a tribute to beauty, craftsmanship and the evolving narrative of the wedding world, where tradition and innovation continue to grow side by side.

Conclusion — A Celebration of Community, Growth and Shared Purpose

WIM Florence was more than an industry gathering. It was a reminder of what truly moves this world: connection, shared knowledge, the exchange of perspectives, and the cultural richness that makes Italy one of the most loved destinations for weddings and private events.

For Romantica Italia, these days brought home something deeply valuable. We return with a renewed sense of direction — inspired by the voices we listened to, the data we absorbed, and the conversations that shifted the way we look at our work. The insights on international trends, digital behaviour and guest expectations will help us refine the way we guide our couples; the dialogues with planners, venues and suppliers opened new paths for collaboration; and the creative sessions sparked ideas we cannot wait to explore in our future weddings.

Most of all, we carry with us the awareness that this industry grows when we grow together.
And this edition of WIM strengthened exactly that: a network of people who care, who imagine, and who work every day to elevate the experience of celebrating love in Italy.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of Corsini Events Group, the vision of Tommaso Corsini, and the invaluable contribution of every partner, sponsor and creative team involved.
Their collective work allowed Florence to shine with its most authentic light — a place where tradition meets innovation, where ideas take shape, and where our community finds renewed strength and purpose.
